Persatuan Firma-Firma Akauntan Bertauliah Melayu Malaysia (AMCAF) is the national premier body representing Malay chartered accountants and professional accounting practices across Malaysia (Registration No: PPM-019-05-08122000).

Conceived in 1998 through strategic engagements between Malay accountants and former MIA President Dato’ Hanifah Noordin, AMCAF was formally established under the Societies Act 1966 on 8 December 2000. The Association is headquartered at Bangi Gateway, Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, complete with dedicated executive training facilities.

Driven by its vision to be the leading force empowering Malay accountants towards global excellence, AMCAF advances practice capability, shapes national policy through institutional advocacy, drives research, and safeguards member welfare.

Our collective strength encompasses 152 member firms and individuals, representing 167 partners, over 6,000 professional staff, and 20 private audit firms (FAS) panelled under the National Audit Department (Jabatan Audit Negara).

Membership is open to qualified Malaysian citizens of Malay ethnicity and the Islamic faith, aged 24 and above, who are not undischarged bankrupts and are registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

• Ordinary Members (Ahli Biasa): 100% Malay-owned professional accounting firms registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
o Audit Firms (Ahli Biasa-AF): 82 firms registered to date.
o Non-Audit Firms (Ahli Biasa-NF): 43 firms registered to date.
o Partners of Ordinary Member firms hold full voting rights and eligibility for election to the
Management Committee.

• Associate Members (Ahli Bersekutu): Individual Malay accountants registered with MIA (currently 27 active members). Associate members participate fully in professional initiatives, programmes, and networks (without voting rights or committee eligibility).

Our collective strength encompasses 152 member firms and individuals, representing 167 partners, over 6,000 professional staff, and 20 private audit firms (FAS) panelled under the National Audit Department (Jabatan Audit Negara).

•Institutional Voice & High-Level Advocacy: Representation at policy tables with central agencies and regulators including the National Audit Department (JAN), Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), Accountant General’s Department (JANM), and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

•HRD Corp Claimable Programmes: Direct access to industry-specific executive masterclasses conducted by AMCAF as a registered HRD Corp Training Provider.

•Strategic Ecosystem & Commercial Collaboration: Preferential access to commercial synergy via our specialized arms:
o Koperasi Firma Akauntan Bertauliah Melayu Berhad (KAMCAF): Business consultancy consortia, commercial marketing, and shared resource infrastructure.
o Institute of Shariah Auditors Malaysia Bhd (ISAM): Certification and capacity development in Shariah audit, Halal assurance, and Islamic wealth management.

•Talent & Pipeline Support: Strategic linkages with universities (e.g., UiTM, MDKJP public university deans) and agencies like TalentCorp to build resilient talent pipelines for member practices.

Registrations for AMCAF conferences, national conventions, and masterclasses are administered directly through the Secretariat:

• HRD Corp Grant Applications: Registered employers can claim course fees under the HRD Corp levy scheme; our training administration facilitates grant claims with prompt documentation support.

• Member Concessions: Active Ordinary and Associate Members in good financial standing receive priority seat allocations and member rates for all ticketed events.

• Flagship National Conventions: Premier policy and practice gatherings, such as the Konvensyen Akauntan Nasional officiated by the Deputy Prime Minister at WTCKL, addressing AI technology, ESG frameworks, and professional responsibilities.

• Industry Synergy Summits: High-impact human capital and future-of-work symposiums co-hosted with agencies like TalentCorp Malaysia (e.g., Program Sinergi AMCAF-TalentCorp).

• Executive & Technical Workshops: Targeted training sessions hosted at our dedicated 40-capacity training facility at Bangi Gateway or via hybrid virtual classrooms:

Yes. AMCAF structures its core technical workshops, national conventions, and compliance masterclasses to qualify for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours.

Furthermore, as an HRD Corp Registered Training Provider, our courses comply with national quality benchmarks, allowing participating organisations to claim training investments while fulfilling statutory professional development obligations. Individual CPD/CPE allocations are stated on each programme brochure and validated via attendance certificates.

No. In accordance with the AMCAF Constitution, formal membership is reserved for Malaysian citizens of Malay ethnicity registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

However, AMCAF maintains an active global outlook in line with its vision to elevate Malay accountants on the international stage. The Association welcomes international accounting bodies, multilateral forums, and foreign industry networks for strategic dialogues, research collaboration, and cross-border knowledge exchange.

AMCAF welcomes institutional partnerships, expert trainers, and corporate sponsors across our national events, publications, and strategic projects.

• Sponsors & Commercial Partners: Corporate partners, financial institutions, enterprise software vendors, and fintech leaders can collaborate on major conventions, training series, or co-branded research initiatives. Under Clause 6.5 of the AMCAF Constitution, the Association is fully authorised to receive sponsorships and grants from public and corporate entities.
